Mike Atkins is an accomplished musician who has been singing and playing the piano and singing since he was 6 months old, writing songs since age thirteen, and performing on stage for just as long. His style is best described as soulful piano/vocal driven rock, comfort food for the soul.

He's toured, performed, and recorded with several Artists including The Zach Walther Band, Phil Keaggy, Chonda Pierce, Becky Fender, Mary-Kathryn, Tom Gillam and many more. Mike has also performed overseas.

This song is near autobiographical with lines regarding synesthesia and talk of depressed, workaholic, alcoholic parentage. It's also an homage to James Booker, The Piano Prince of New Orleans! Full of rock and soul piano riffs and rhythms.
